BFM has shop facilities with a full compliment of equipment and experienced personnel available 24 hours per day to meet your shutdown and start-up timetables. We are unique in that we have the ability to handle capital projects to meet your schedule requirements, while remaining responsive to industry demands for fast custom fabrication and machining services. To ensure prompt and smooth handling of your project, our in-house design and engineering staff of professionals are assigned as individual Project Managers. Our Project Managers will keep you informed, maintain scheduled commitments, and ensure that you are satisfied. We take pride in our technical expertise in matters from the inception of your project to archiving records.

Whether we are responsible for your design or only augment your design, BFM is prepared to handle your requirements. Our shop is large enough to accommodate production runs and a variety of unique jobs concurrently. Our Machine Shop supports our Fabrication Shop but yet works independently performing a wide variety of customized machining services. BFM can fabricate a variety of equipment in accordance with your specifications and drawings. We fabricate equipment through final assembly in turn-key fashion or fabricate components for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) as well as replacement non-OEM components. We have fabricated prototype equipment for venture capitalists, engineering consulting companies, engineering and construction companies, and multi-level government agencies.

Process plants with stringent shutdown schedules and utility operators with emergency repairs look to BFM for quick turnaround of their heavy metalworking needs. We fabricate, alter, and repair equipment to the following codes and standards:

BFM holds Certifications of Authorization from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Boiler and Pressure Vessel Committee for:

  • ASME “S” Stamp Authorization No. 20019 (Power Boilers)
  • ASME “U” Stamp Authorization No. 20020 (Unfired Pressure Vessels)
  • National Board Inspectors Code “R” Stamp Authorization No. 1700 (Repairs)

Our staff of Quality Control inspectors are qualified to ASME standards for new equipment industry standards and assure repairs meet the NBIC code. We perform the following Non-Destructive Methods:

  • Radiographic Examination (RT)
  • Ultrasonic Examination (UT)
  • Wet and Dry Magnetic Particle Examination (MT/WFMT)
  • Liquid Penetrant Examination (PT)
  • Positive Material Identification (PMI)

Independent outside inspection services are also available.
